Photography as a platform for dialog and encounters
Do we understand ourselves as a community or merely as a collection of individuals who only interact with each other due to circumstance? Is there something like a shared identity called “neighborhood” in Berlin nowadays, and if so what form does it take? Searching for answers, the photographer enters into dialogue with people from her immediate living environment, most of whom are tenants of a building cooperative in district Spandau. The pictures are taken in the respective apartment during the interview and are accompanied by quotes taken from the dialogue.
